A stunning 4 bedroom home at 17 Eastern Avenue, Mangerton sold prior to auction, via a FaceTime inspection. The purchaser had been making plans to move back to the Illawarra for some time, however, due to lockdown restrictions and border closures they were unable to travel to inspect any property in person.
We were able to communicate with them digitally and held virtual inspections with them via FaceTime. Having grown up on Eastern Avenue, there was a strong connection with the area, and along with the advice of local family, they were confident in their purchase.
The property was well inspected by local buyers also, but was snapped up prior to auction for $1,360,000. FaceTime inspections have become more common practice, albeit more so from Sydney, interstate or international buyers.
"The two sales that we have made in recent weeks via FaceTime, both buyers had an understanding of the suburbs that they were purchasing within and had the benefit of visually seeing the property via FaceTime," selling agent Darren Kay said.
"If prospective buyers are comfortable with this concept, the process is far more convenient than spending months at open home inspections or private appointments."
